Eglesbach and Erzhausen

We took a day trip to Eglesbach and Erzhausen, where Lenise's Berck and Seibold ancestors came from in the 1850's. Jutta from Hamburg had called Mr. Otto Schumann and arranged for us to meet him so we could buy a copy of his transcription of the "Familienbuch Erzhausen" - a listing of the births, deaths, marriages and other information on town residents dating back to the 1600's. He and his wife also took us around the town and to the church and local history museum, something we could never have done without them, since both were closed the day we were there, but they got the keys.
