Marie (Schupp) James’s family - Christmas greeting
Happy New Year to all of you from the Mile-High City, Denver, CO. My brother joe likes to harass me about the cold winter weather in Colorado, but we've been having daytime temperatures in the 60's. I think it was colder and wetter in San Diego, Sat, when the Broncos played the Chargers. This comment does not mean that I am a big football fan--it's just a comment about the weather.
We had several happy events in our family in 2005: our son Matthew was married to Beth Kopplin in Portland, OR. Matthew works for a lighting design company and plays the violin in his spare time. Beth is a social worker specializing in drug and alcohol abuse. They have a website:
We also have a new granddaughter: Sophie Elyse Blankman, born Aug 7, 2005 to our daughter Sarah and her husband Rich Blankman in Parker , CO. she is really a sweet baby. Grandpa Tom who recently retired from his Chemist's position at National Jewish Medical Center in Denver has now taken on watching Sophie while Sarah is at work. So far he's enjoying
taking care of Sophie. Sarah works in Marketing at the REMAX International Office in Denver, Rich is a middle school Math teacher in Cherry Creek Schools. I am a computer tech at a middle school in Denver Public Schools.
In case you haven't heard, my brother Peter who is Chief Engineer on the aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk, stationed in Japan, was just promoted to Captain! It will be official on April 1.
Take care,
Marie (Schupp) James
